
Ken Andreoni
Ken is an acclaimed guitar instructor and professional musician who began playing the guitar about 30 years ago. Over the years, Ken has performed with a wide range of artists and bands, studio recording projects, commercial music, and television and movie scores. Ken performs and composes with his jazz/fusion trio, Slice of Pi, which is currently recording a follow-up to their debut album. He maintains a busy schedule of teaching, recording, live dates, and frequently hosts clinics demonstrating technique and theory. Ken has written books on improvisation and theory for the guitar.
Ken studied jazz and classical guitar at Wayne State University and Theory & Composition at Oakland University. Ken also studied under guitar legends Joe Fava and Paul Abler and has taken master classes with Joe Pass, Scott Tenant, Carlos Barbosa Lima, William Kanengiser, John Scofield, and Gary Burton. He has performed with Stu Hamm. Currently, Ken teaches theory and guitar technique in Detroit.

Marvin Miller
Marvin has plays in orchestras for musicals, writes songs and performs locally as a solo musician and currently plays with jazz orchestras in the Detroit area. He studied jazz with several teachers and met Ken a few years ago. Ken’s innate knowledge of chords, harmony, and overall musical theory inspired Marvin to collaborate with Ken in the creation of Solving the Jazz Guitar Puzzle. Marvin’s influences include Pat Metheny, Al DiMeola, Joe Pass, Jeff Beck, John McLaughlin, Kenny Burrell, and Andy Timmons.
Marvin also had a successful career in computers, working for major companies including Digital Equipment, Compaq, Hewlett-Packard, and EMC. He has Bachelor and Master degrees from Eastern Michigan University.
